TGA is a London based architectural practice established by Tughela Gino in 2005. We are a friendly, proactive, and professional practice, focused on producing positive, imaginative and considered design. The studio has established a strong and critical design process, in which every project is approached with an extremely open mind, responding to the client’s needs and context with creative design solutions.
We believe, that a well designed space must be a space in which “life” does not spoil the design but rather embellishes it, that calm can be found even in the busiest spaces. Enjoyment is at the heart of what we do, and subsequently adults and children tend to love our spaces.
Over the last nine years we have worked mainly on private residential projects, which has allowed us to fine tune our knowledge of period buildings and the processes involved in restoring and modernising them to suit our client’s changing needs.
However, we have also worked on, and are pursuing a wider range of projects including, nurseries, galleries, offices, shops, shop fronts, signage, bicycle shelters, public seating and temporary art installations. We are fascinated by our increasingly urbanised world in which we are beginning to live closer and closer together, and even the smallest intervention, public or private can have remarkably large implications.
Forming good relationships with all our clients and collaborators, we explore all aspects of a project, from client needs and identity to social and historical context to celebrate particularities and form unique site-specific proposals.
As well as using green materials wherever possible we believe that truly sustainable architecture comes from clever, flexible, high quality design that outlives its users and passing trends. We also enjoy finding ways to do a lot with very little.
